Oakhaven Care named as double finalist in National Home Care Awards 2025

Oakhaven Care has been announced as a finalist in two categories in the Home Care Awards 2025. The social enterprise has reached the final stage in both the 'Palliative / End-of-life Care Expertise' Award and the 'Most Outstanding Independent Home Care Provider' category.

The Home Care Awards seek out examples of the expertise of companies providing home care in the UK and praise the teams that are making a difference by looking to raise standards. In addition, the Awards find outstanding winners of the Overall Achievement categories, including a top Grand Prix Award for the best home care provider.

Established as a social enterprise eleven years ago and wholly owned by The Oakhaven Trust, all the profits made by Oakhaven Care Ltd are donated to Oakhaven Hospice, helping to fund day-to-day running costs. Synergies with Oakhaven Hospice are strong and the Oakhaven Care team is highly trained in palliative and end-of-life care.

Proud to be part of Oakhaven in winning a New Forest Brilliance in Business Award!

Everyone at Oakhaven is delighted to have been awarded the New Milton Advertiser and Lymington Times Award for Charity / Not For Profit Organisation of the Year 2024, one of the nineteen New Forest Business Partnership's annual 'Brilliance in Business' Awards.

Both Oakhaven Hospice and Oakhaven Care Ltd were nominated for the Award for not-for-profit organisations which have a base in the New Forest and have been operating for more than one year. In October, the teams were delighted when together as 'Oakhaven' they became one of three finalists for the Not-For-Profit of the Year Award.

As a social enterprise owned by the Oakhaven Trust, 100% of Oakhaven Care Ltd's profits help to fund the running costs of Oakhaven Hospice.

On Thursday 28th November Oakhaven was announced as Charity of the Year 2024 at the New Forest Business Partnership Awards evening by Nell Lazzario from the New Milton Advertiser and Lymington Times.

Tanya Baddeley, Head of Marketing, and Natalie Hutchins, Corporate Fundraising Manager, were delighted to attend the event, and collected the Award on behalf of everyone at Oakhaven Hospice and Oakhaven Care Ltd. The Award is doing the rounds of Oakhaven Hospice and Oakhaven Care - and more photos of the team celebrating their award will follow soon!

Fundraising Quiz Night: Sunday 17th November

This autumn we are raising funds for Oakhaven Hospice as part of the Business Enterprise Challenge!

Book your tickets now for our fundraising Quiz Night, taking place on Sunday 17th November from 7pm to 10pm at Totton & Eling Cricket Club (Southern Gardens, Totton SO40 8RW)

Tickets can be purchased at our office in 9 Salisbury Road, Totton, or by calling us on 02381 800 505, with a maximum 8 people per quiz team.

Quiz Night Tickets are £15 per person and include a basket meal - choose from:

Burger and chips
Hot dog and chips
Veggie burger and chips

Gluten free can be accommodated - please state on ordering.

Fundraising Raffle

Tickets for our fundraising raffle cost just £1 each. Prizes include hampers, £100 gift sets, chocolates and much more! If you would like some tickets, please do pop into our Totton office or call us on 02381 800 505.

Our Totton office has moved!

We are delighted to have moved our Totton office into new premises - at 9 Salisbury Road, Totton SO40 3HW. It's a great location for our team, with more space including a training room. Our telephone number for Totton remains the same - 02381 800 505.

Meanwhile our Lymington office remains based at Oakhaven Hospice, in Lower Pennington Road.

The new premises will enable us to continue our growth throughout the New Forest, Totton, Waterside and beyond. Our teams provide first-class care to help you or your loved ones live with independence at home. From 30-minute drop-in visits to multiple daily visits, extending to 24-hour live-in care as and when required, our Care Assistants can support you to remain in the comfort of your own home and maintain your chosen lifestyle.

In recent months our team of Community Care Assistants, Supervisors and Managers have all been busy making floral garlands and friendship bracelets (in our signature purple!). The aim was to make sufficient to stock a stall at the Oakhaven Family Fun Day, to raise funds for the Hospice.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stall - it was such as success that we sold out! The team is busy making more for our stand at the New Forest Show!

On Thursday 6th June, Oakhaven Care Assistants and Managers enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch with clients in the beautiful gardens of Oakhaven Hospice.

An opportunity to gather together, the lunch-goers were pleased to be able to shelter from the hot sunshine in the marquee sponsored by New Milton Sand and Ballast, which remains in Oakhaven's gardens throughout the month of June.

Coinciding with the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, Managing Director Erica Longyear made a short speech and encouraged everyone to raise their glass in remembrance of those who fought for King and Country.

The lunch was well-received by clients and carers alike, all of whom are proud of the strong bond between Oakhaven Care and Oakhaven Hospice. A social enterprise and wholly owned subsidiary of The Oakhaven Trust, all Oakhaven Care's profits go to support the running of Oakhaven Hospice.
